Tie a Silver Ribbon (Revisited)Posted by Liquidspace images/Daryl Seyforth © 2009 (London, United Kingdom) on 31 January 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. Not an exciting subject, but wanted to see how much difference a bigger chip and lens makes to the same subject. Maybe should have taken this in b&w as per the first image? Conclusion, better limited depth of field, sharper and smoother gradation. However it was shot in RAW and not jpeg. Finding RAW opens up more options regarding quality and working with shadow and highlight retention. Downside RAW on the Sony R1 is not as fast as modern DSLR cameras. But for still life, landscapes and portraits this is not really an issue. © Daryl Seyforth, 2009
